This pilot study explored the use of ConversationAIly™ as a communication training tool for medical residents. The study involved 20 residents undergoing endocrinology training, with half using the tool during clinical interactions and the other half participating without it.
Residents using ConversationAIly™ reported that the suggested language cues helped them use more person-centred language and avoid unconscious bias and stigmatizing terms. People consulting with these residents also reported higher levels of satisfaction and trust.
The findings suggest that AI-supported communication practice may have a role in medical curricula by helping learners recognize language choices, reflect on their interactions, and develop more respectful, person-centred communication habits.
